BEE FARMING SUMMARY
The project is for the establishment of an income-generating beekeeping project for unemployed and poor people in rural Nepal. The primary aim of the project is to improve the living conditions of the marginalized people in rural communities. Our bee farm model helps the rural people out of frustration and give them a new opportunity.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
There is very little activity in intervention programs or opportunities to help marginalized people. The lack of opportunity to learn new skills and lack of resources results in poor activity, social isolation and neglect.
VISION
To train and create new business model that is easy to expand and feed into the co-op structure that creates jobs for up to 25 people.
TRAINING CONTENT
During the training, beneficiaries will learn the basic tools of beekeeping such as bee hive production, packaging/honey processing Hive development and marketing. In short, the project wants to create courageous and confident beekeepers. At the end of the training, beneficiaries will be supported with bee making equipment, the strategy of marketing and guidance to start and run own profitable beekeeping business expected impact.
EXPECTED IMPACT
We will train 25 poor people [ males and females ]
The following results can be expected.
25 People trained to run a bee farm
25 Will start their own business and generate money for their families and
communities.
This will allow them to employ 25 more helpers. The honey generated will impact on health in community well being etc .This initiative will grow the cooperative with new forest products for sale.
